South Fork of Taylor Creek: From the trail head, hike up canyon to the fifth wash on your left ( just before the big sandy steps at the base of the debris dam). Hike up the wash (north) to the base of the south face of Paria Point. The route ascends a slab behind a large ponderosa Pine. There are two distinct cruxes one low and one high. There is also a variation that avoids the hard climbing and drops the rating to 5.10c: Instead of climbing the bolt line directly, scamper up a shallow corner to the right and follow a line of 3 drilled angles that traverse in above the crux. This variation is known as Compulsive Obsessive - 5.10c FA: D Thomas/Will Hair 5/1988

0 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

This was the first ascent of the route, May 1988.
I spent a few weeks toproping thre line and figuring out bolt placements, I had intended for the route to follow the crack systems up the wall but never got around to them (someone else has finished the wall above, if you know of its rating please drop me a mail). Will and Newt showed up and we led the route at noon...just as the heat was pouring on.
