About Welcome Springs:
Welcome Springs area crags(11.6 miles from Gunlock turn). A remote limestone climbing area on the western slopes of the Beaver Dam Mountains west of St. George, Utah. The Cathedral is a special place to climb with deep shade all year long and a quiet desert mountain atmosphere and incredible limestone rock. There has been new route development this past year by Todd Perkins, especially on the Wailing & Sumo Walls but also in the Cathedral. Any serious sport climber and one who enjoys stout climbing on unpolished limestone ought to check this place out. |
