About Johnson Mountain:

This is the mass that sits above the confluence of the north fork and east fork of the Virgin river. This is the end of the large peak/ridge formation that sits over Springdale River Park.
Approach: Park on the road across the street from the park. Cross bridge and follow main road until it ends in about 20 minutes. From here, one can see the camouflaged repeater screen. We followed a faint trail up and right, and through a few ravines. The course to the screen is extremely rough. Best seemed to be to head somewhat right until one could pick up relatively easy slopes up to the screen. From there, head further right and up to the highest point around the right side. Here are at least two routes that are fun and well protected. On decent, we headed straight down from the screen. This necessitated some down climbing
