About Deer Leap:
Very High Quality Rock. Great for trad climbing or for top roping this 70 - 110 ft face first climbed in 1946 by Arni kirbach and Carl Acker has climbs from 5.4 to 5.11+ Every square inch of the main cliff from the OFF WIDTH on the left to THE TREE has been led with natural gear. NO BOLTS ARE TO BE PLACED ON THIS FACE. Fixed belay/rapel anchors were instaled November 2001. These anchors will take the burden off the trees up top that are severly dammaged from years of abuse. 1 star is definatly wourth climbing and 3 stars is as good as any single pitch climb of it's grade in the east.
