About Mt Pisgah:

Lake Willoughby is primarily a superb winter ice climbing area, but there is in fact some good rock there. It is quite undeveloped, and potential exists for more lines, provided you want to spend the time cleaning them! The cliffs are fractured granite almost 300 feet high, and face west, above the lake. At the beach on the lake, people have been known to sunbathe nude (bring a camera and tanning lotion!). Lake Willoughby is worth a visit only if you are in the area.

Nearest town or city: Barton
Directions: From Barton, VT, head East on HWY 16. The cliffs are located on Route 5-A on the extreme southern end of Lake Willoughby. Park at the base of the hill and make a short, steep bushwhack to the cliffs.
