About Pony Pasture:

Not much for actual climbing but some good bouldering. about 6+ problems (depending on how confident you are, much more.. landings would be on rocks). good top outs, cracks (finger and hand), maybe 10-15 ft high...
Nearest town or city: Richmond
Directions: forest hill exit off of powhite parkway (195) go west (right off the ramp) until you come to the light at the intersection with the seven eleven. take a right at that intersection (stay in the right lane) and just follow the brown signs to pony pasture. park in the main parking lot and walk upstream along the road or paths until you get to the old parking lot (which now police are constantly occupying) that is just a big pulloff (around the top of the rapids.. maybe a tenth of a mile from the main parking lot if that). walk across the road and into the woods and the rocks are maybe 30 ft. in. Scenic Route: Just south of the Hugenaut Bridge there is a turn off onto Riverside Dr. Take Riverside east (downstream) about 1 1/2 miles and park in either the main parking lot (its big, can't miss it) or the small lot just upstream of the main lot. If you parked in the main lot, walk upstream along Riverside Dr until you reach a smaller lot, continue about 20 feet upstream of the smaller lot and then turn into the woods. The wall is about 30 feet in.
