About The Trestles:

Two giant columns, once used by trains, long since abandoned for their original uses.
Nearest town or city: Lynchburg
Directions: Take US 60 East to Buena Vista. At the traffic light in front of Hardee's turn right onto US 501/Magnolia Avenue. Follow US 501 to Lynchburg , 37 miles. Follow US 501 South into the Lynchburg city limits, and then continue 5 miles to the intersection with the Lynchburg Expressway. Take the Expressway .25 miles south to Route 221 South. Turn right, staying on Route 221 South through the towns of Forest and Norwood to Goode (11 miles). If you reach Bedford, you've gone to far. Then turn left onto Goode Station Road (this left is the second past the "Casa Loma" housing development). Continue .6 miles on Goode Station Road and then turn right onto Goode Road, Route 668. Cross the bridge and take an immediate right onto Perennial Road, Route 762. Drive 1 mile down the gravel road to the end of the road and the trailhead to the Trestles. Take the path (old service road) down to the Trestles climbing area.
