About Sunshine Wall Area:
| Basalt columns make up this entire climbing area. There are a number of bolted and chained routes in the main area, but if you look around the whole canyon, all you will see is are endless possibilities. If there are too many climbers in the main areas, drive down the road a little and find your own little "untouched" new climb. There are lots of opportunities. There is a short hike of about 10 minutes to get from the parking lot to the base of the main walls. |

| Directions: | Take I-90 and get off at Exit 143. This is the Silica Road Exit and also the road to take you to the Gorge Amphitheater. Drive for about 1/2 mile and then take the first left you come to. The road is called Vantage Rd. Follow this for about 1.5 miles and it will take you to the main parking lot for the Sunshine Wall. There is plenty of camping around The Feathers but please pack out all of your trash. During certain times of the year, you may have to watch out for nesting birds that are protective of their young. |
