Description:
This is the first route right of "Mental Warfare" as you head south (upstream). With the sand levels of the late '90s and early '00s you'd start with strong moves in steep rock. After the spring of '07 you have an additional 3 feet of climbing as the sand washed away significantly. The new start adds a BIG first move. The original route heads left via the huge detached flake. An alternate finish heads straight to the chains and adds perhaps a grade. If you can take the pump you can clip the chains.Descent Options:
Chains.

6 pack
After a side injury and some draw thieves put a couple routes I wanted to work on the sideline, I set a goal to climb a six-pack of 'hard' routes in one session. Today went well. I redpointed 'Belly Rubber' (12b), 'Naked Man' (12a), '21-run' (13a), 'Dump Truck' (12c), 'Being Inferior' (12a), and 'Opiate' (12a) in that order. No falls, no hangs. :) Then I still had to clean some draws off Belly Rubber...I was tired. So I got 7 pitches of 12+ climbing.
The best part though was hanging out with friends in the sunshine. :)
