About Champe Rocks:

Champe Rocks is the large complex of faces and double fins seen when driving N on 28/55 from Seneca Rocks. Access to Champe has long been a source of contention between the landowners surrounding the area, fishermen, kayakers, and climbers. While the kayakers can put in somewhere else, and the fishermen have miles of river to chase, the resulting loss of access has left climbers looking wistfully from the shoulder of the road. Work is currently underway to secure alternate access... watch this space for updates, and don't do anything stupid to endanger the work other climbers are doing to re-open this beautiful crag.

There is an approach through the National Forest (mega-heinous), and of course you can always put in via canoe at Seneca and then take out and shuttle back form the stretch just N of Champe (complicated but effective). As with any WV crag of unknown access, be polite, be low profile, and if anyone asks you to get off their land, don't flap your piehole... MOVE.
