Description:

The birch tree is long gone from the abuse of falling climbers. The guidebook (Climber's Guide to Devil's Lake) says, "this is a one-move climb and without proper technique it becomes a no-move retreat". Route starts on a ledge about eight feet up. Climb up into the alcove and follow it up to the hand crack to access the top. A very tricky crux leads to easier climbing.

4 out of 5 stars not bad

If you get the hands in the correct order on the crux you'll be fine.
