About Illinizas:

The two Illinizas are both over 5000 meters high, and have a completely different character. Illiniza Sur is a dagger of snow and ice(though sadly the glaciers are retreating quickly). Illinia Norte is a fairly easy scramble, and is the easiest of Ecuador's 5000 meter peaks to climb. The refugio here is small, crowded, and not very nice. |
