¿Acceso? Access?

 Para entrar al P.N. Cuevas Del Indio (de aquí en adelante llamado: "La Guairita") y escalar necesitas lo siguiente: To enter the P.N. Cuevas del Indio (from now and on called "La Guairita") and climb you will need the following:
  • Permiso de Escalador/Climbing permit: Acércate a la entrada y habla con el Guardaparques para obtenerlo si no posees uno. Upon arriving at the entrance speak to the Forest Ranger to obtain one if you do not already have one.
  • Pago/Payment: Hay que pagar una cantidad pequeña de dinero si solo vienes a escalar esporádicamente (de 1 a 5 veces al año). Si eres un local mejor paga el monto de Acceso Anual con el cual podrás entrar cuantas veces quieras. You will need to pay a small amount of money if you only come to climb sporadically (1 to 5 times per year) if you are a local is better to pay the yearly access fee which will grand you access all year.
  • Horario/Schedule: Aquí solo puedes practicar la escalada en este horario: De martes a domingo (los lunes está cerrado) Entrada de <8:00AM a 5:00PM> y Salida <6:00PM>.
    Here you are only allowed to climb during the following hours: 8am to 6pm tuesday through sunday (closed on mondays).

    ¿Servicios?/Services?
  • Alimentos/Food: Dentro del parque hay un kiosko donde venden empanadas, arepas y cosas por el estilo... yummy... mejor tráete tu propia agua o cualquier cosa de beber (aunque en el Kiosko venden agua mineral y jugos). There are a few canteens inside the park. They sell empanadas and arepas and other such things... yummy you better bring your own water or something to drink (You can find mineral water and juice in the canteens).
  • Otros/Anything else?: Podrás encontrar baños públicos (justo detrás de las oficinas de los funcionarios de INPARQUES) y teléfonos públicos (ubicados en la entrada al parque). You can find public bathrooms just behind the offices and public phones at the park entrance.

    ¿Cómo está dividida La Guairita?

     Sobre este tema se podrìa discutir durante días... Aquì en RC.COM vamos a utilizar la división propuesta por Marcos Bustamante por ser la mas lógica...
    La Guairita se divide en 4 Sectores (Morro ESTE, Morro CENTRAL, Morro OESTE y Sector "B") que, cada uno a su vez, se divide en "Paredes" o "Áreas". El nombre de estas Paredes viene dado por el nombre de la ruta mas popular de la pared o alguna característica específica que la hace destacar (a la pared...). Además hay que anexar a estos Sectores las áreas de búlder. La división sería así: (siempre de ESTE a OESTE)

    1. Morro ESTE o Pared "Titanic"

    2. Morro CENTRAL:
  • Pared "La Iglesia"
  • Pared "Sombra"
  • Pared "Matarile"
  • Pared "Stayfree"
  • Pared "Sir. Francis"

    3. Morro OESTE:
  • Pared "Deditos"
  • Pared "El Balcón"
  • Pared "El Bautizo"
  • Pared "Tiempos Modernos"
  • Pared "Oxígeno"

    4. Sector "B"

    • Nearest town or city: Caracas
    Directions: Este parque está en El Cafetal, vía el cementerio de La Carlota, pregunta por el "Parque Nacional Cuevas del Indio". Para llegar en transporte público dirígete a cualquier estación de El Metro (tren subterráneo que cruza toda la ciudad) y bájate en la estación Altamira, allí toma el Metrobús vía a El Cafetal, bájate en la parada de Plaza las Américas, camina 100 metros hasta la parada de jeeps vía Cementerio de la Guairita, dile al chofer que te deje en la entrada del Parque Nacional Cuevas del Indio.
    This park is in El Cafetal, on route to La Carlota cemetery. Ask for the Parque Nacional Cuevas del Indio. To get there by public transportation get in the subway and head for the Altamira station, take the bus to El Cafetal, get off at Plaza Las Américas walk a hundred meters to the jeep stop on route to the La Carlota cemetery. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to the Parque Nacional Cuevas del Indio.
