Haines Point is my most favorite tourist spot in DC. The area is the home of "the Awakening", a 100 foot statue of rip Van Winkle emerging from his 40 year nap. Shot of "the Awakening" at Haines Point. Not the best photo, but a cool statue you can fool around on if you get the itch. Also worth a visit for the atmosphere alone. Definitely my favorite spot in DC
