Yes. A Three Cam Unit will generally be narrower than a 4 Cam Unit, and hence will fit in a shallower placement. The exception for 4 cam units is the Alien; unfortunately, for the last few years, CCH seems incapable of reliably producing Aliens that don't fall apart under body weight. Metolius will shortly be coming out with a line of 4 cam units with a narrow profile like the Aliens.
