Hello Everyone, Conservation Halton has retained consulting services to help develop a master plan, for their parks, which would inventory and assess all aspects of user groups' activities, determine the parks strengths and weaknesses, as well as future opportunities. An Open House Meeting will be held on Wed Feb 25, 2009 at 7:00 at the head office to gather user groups' feedback. Dr. Harry Hoediono has been representing the OAC and the climbing community as a member of a technical advisory committee for Halton. He was recently interviewed by EDA Collaborative Inc. to "advise and champion climbing as a safe, eco-friendly and responsible user group." Harry has been working tirelessly with Halton over the years, most recently spearheading the Halton Bolting Project to install new anchors in the Halton Region. His team is nearly finished with Rattlesnake and will be moving on to Buffalo Crag next. Stay tuned to the OAC website for further updates on their progress. A good turn out by the climbing community at this Open House would definitely be helpful in promoting climbing in the Halton region.
