wtf is with the huge pics? can you resize them or something?
I'm at a loss as to why the figure 8 slipped. what you described is a slip knot, but in the picture it seems to be tied fine.
edit: oh yeah, and why didn't you clip the X correctly? are the two locking biners for redundancy? or did you just mess it up?
I used to love the equalette, but the more I climb, the more I just use the standard cordlette or if possible just a double-length sling.
some day I might find myself with nothing but four marginal pieces, where perfect equalization actually might make the difference. until then, the simplicity and efficiency of the cordlette/sling anchor is worth more to me.
