appropriate. They generally have a few nests every year at either Summit or Main Cliff. They close it around the same time every year then find out exactly where they are and only keep the occupied cliffs closed.
It's been pretty successful and it doesn't really impact the climbing all that much. especially when they nest at Summit cliff.. but even main cliff can be avoided for a few months (i don't like main cliff anyway so i'm never concerned)
They will update the signs at the message board and on the trails when the closure is lifted.
