I would. I stopped climbing with this one guy who could never give a decent belay. If you're swinging leads, it's half the stinking route that gets screwed up by such incompetence. Who wants to be tensioned up a pitch? Raise your hands.

Well there's the crux of the issue. You don't know how to belay.
