uh, no. you're probably using the cinch incorrectly- it feeds/lowers smoothly regardless of rope diameter.
same goes for the grigri2.
edit: i should add- calling these devices autolockers is a bad habit to get into, as it lulls the user into a false sense of security. a more appropriate term is locking assist.
