I drive a 4dr PU truck with a canopy.
-Real 4WD
-lot's of space for gear, passengers and sleeping
-wet/muddy gear is not with passengers
-can tow a trailer
-nice to have a truck at home
cons
-not as good mpgs as a small awd rig (16-20mpg)
