Yup this is true. My guess is that we will never hear the true details. For one, guide schools absolutely don't want their clients getting hurt at the hands of their guides. Second, they certainly don't want the guides decking either. It's not good for business. Hope the guys ok. 60 feet is a long fall. I took a 50 footer on an aid climb once and figured I was going to the deck. I was 300 feet off the ground at the time, but I just kept going and going, and feeling the gear ripping. You'd be surprised, that kind of fall is not over as fast as you might think. I had more than enough time to contemplate my fate.
