In reply to: So how many people are gonna be there climbing on the 7th and is anyony planning on getting out there Thursday night? Myself, Jay, and our SOs will be at Jacks on Friday... not quite Flag. I dunno where we're gonna be on Thursday night yet.

In reply to: So how many people are gonna be there climbing on the 7th and is anyony planning on getting out there Thursday night? Well, I can be there Thursday evening if you're needing a partner. You still got my cell phone number? If so, gimme a call and we'll figure it out. You're buying the first six-pack, though.

Hey all, We're getting psyched for the gathering! Man, it'll be good to see (most of) your smiling faces again :P
In reply to: as for camping at fay, just continue about 1/8 of a mile past the big party pit area where folks camped last year. a pristine meadow/grassland appears on your right. it is absolutely 100% guaranteed legal, there is no broken glass, there are some good problems right there (such as the bachar cracker of flagstaff) just pull your car off the road and camp. Ed, reno, et al.... I whole-heartedly agree last year's site was shite. I should add, however, that I believe that was my fault. Apparently, the primo spot is the one bvb talks about above and the one that Curt wanted us to go to last year. I was one of the first ones there last year and I think I stopped too soon instead of continuing on down the road a bit further to the good site. I'd love to check out where we SHOULD have camped last year. Whuddyasay? P.S. Holy crap. I can't believe I'm finally going to meet Jules after all these years. I remember when she was only theeeeeeeesssssseee tall!! ;) P.P.S. Did I mention I really can't wait for next weekend??? This is becoming a once-a-year gig that I get to see most of you and meet some new smiling faces. As I'm back in school full time and working part-time, lordy knows I'm in desperate need of social interaction. Oh yeah, and some climbing would be nice too. Yee-Haw!!! Let the debauchery begin!!

:( :( :( :drama: okay -- all this planning and I have to cancel. I mentioned I went to Colorado in Sept? Well, I cannot get time off of work, as my assistant will be gone that whole week. If I could afford the flight, I would be there in a heart beat. Damn!!! So, I will catch up with ya'all next gathering. I am bummed. I was so looking forward to seeing those of you I know (ie Zac, climbsomething, climberchic, art, etc.), and meeting those I haven't had a chance to meet yet. Have fun, but not too much fun. Cheers. Jules :P

Anyone want to share a ride from PHX? I was gonna leave Thursday afternoon/evening, and return Sunday evening. I've got the usual gear to haul... tent, pack, etc. and a dog. I'm happy to drive my Jeep if you share gas $$. I'm in Scottsdale (101 and Shea, roughly.) Holler if you want to share the ride.

I'll just have to wait for New Years for Zac tipping.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. I wont be able to leave work till Friday around 3:00 pm. If someone could pm me a cell number to call in case I show up and everyone has gone to town for food that would be cool....or I can play sit and wait. Also if anyone has an extra seat and is heading up Friday afternoon I can certainly chip in half for the gas. I have someone buying my car next week and not sure what my travel vehicle will be...but im going to make it for sure even if I have to get a rental! :D

Unless I get a specific request for an aid clinic, I'm leaving the aid gear at home. I'm arriving mid-afternoon Saturday, so I'm kind of chalking up Saturday as a non-climbing day, and will be available to climb Sunday and Monday. I'd like to get some climbing in on one of those two days, but the other day I'd be willing to help any aspiring aid n00b and teach ya what I know...which ain't much. I could definitely teach you how to bai...errrrrrr, rappel with a 100lb pig. The Forks is a great place for practice aid if anyone is up for it. Ed

Well I hasve good news and bad news. The good news in there will be one less munchin to worry about in the evenings festivities. The bad news is there will be two less people to join in this weekends fun. My daughter Moira got an invitiation to spend this weekend and following week in Southern California at the beach and playing( and being eight she wasnt passing on the zoo or sea world) so we will not be attending :( . If any of the locals are into comps we will be at the flagstaff comp the following weekend. Everyone be safe and have a blast.

Uhhh...weather? Ivan's balking at the prospect of driving 4 hours to sit in the truck all day. Shoot....whattodo, whattodo.... Hillary~ If we go, the hookah will be in tow 8^) Jules~ That would be, like, totally rad if you could some out to say Hi one of those nights! If we go, of course. I should know by tomorrow if we go or not. :( If we don't, I wouldn't mind meeting up with anyone else next weekend who can't go this weekend (*erica ducks Hillary's flying keyboard). Ivan and Bob and his guitar are going to Indian Creek, but I'd be up for it.
