i think someone's trying to catch an easy ride on the troll wagon. the whole london wall claim might have been a tempting hook for some if it hadn't come in the same thread as the suicide countertop saga.

T4 or 5 normally, but in this case T3 at best. sorry.

The worst part of your story is that you're taking it as your own... So just like Michael, it is time to fess up .

Like I said three posts ago, "On behalf of the Suicide conspiracy...". I can't publicly name the other conspirators, though they are welcome to voluntarily come forward and take the credit they are due. My contribution was actually quite modest, consisting mainly of seemlessly injecting the troll into this thread, and getting a writer friend drunk enough to write the news story.

This has got to be one of the more brilliant trolls of all time. Nice job JT and the rest of the cast.

Nice troll btw.

One more question, I'm here in LA now till at least September. I don't have access to a car unfortunately and I'm wondering what sport climbing & bouldering areas can be reached easily by bus from Venice/Santa Monica area?

Any help apreciated! Also which bouldering & sport climbing guides cover the LA area in the most detail?

thanks,

DanielB

OK, well, seeing as how everybody's merry again, I'll come out of the shadows.

It was ME.

I was slurping Tanqueray and tonic in a dark dive bar, when Jay and I hatched this plan. I got out the notebook I always carry with me, and by the light of the pool table lamps, wrote it up. No editing. Much back-slapping and giggling between me and Jay (as many of you well know we are fond of doing). I was especially fond of the Homicide of Suicide pun.

But I wasn't DRUNK!!! I was merely enjoying some adult beverage. 8)

I just wanted to write a funny. :P

Sorry, but did you just say that you were in L.A. without a car?

There is a Southern California Bouldering Guide and Southern California Sport Climbing Guide, the latter by Troy Mayr. As far as access by bus, you might be in trouble.

Yeah in LA without a car, not the best idea I know but I can't afford to pay for two cars at once, as I already have a car I am paying for in the UK :(

Thanks for the tips, I think there might be some climbers in the area I can climb with and might be able to get lifts from I hope.

Daniel
