My brain, first and foremost.

Gear-related... #6 hex, #5 nut, grey alien. The hex because I've had to have it replaced three times because seconds these days don't know how to clean old-school pro, the nut because it just fits everywhere, and the grey alien because it's so bloody useful around here that I carry three.

Take your pick:

#7 BD Stopper
1 and 2 BD Camalots

I guess I just have an eye that likes the #7.

Courage.

I lost mine last year on the split pillar. If anyone sees it, could you let me know.

Thanks!

probably my #8 BD stopper

I know it held solid on my first fall leading trad and so gave me the confidence to keep leading (and every gear placement since has held as well!)

Sounds like I should go out and buy a pink tricam. :D

I guess, judging by the number of falls, my favourite pieces would have to be small nuts (1-4). My last fall was on a #3 WC Peenut.

Has to be a toss up between the .75 Camalot and the #6 stopper

The pink Tricam, purple #0 TCU and #0 Peck Cracker (that dates me) are the "Thank God the knees can stop shaking now" pieces, but not by any chance the "most used".

Well, since I was the joker who started this thread, I suppose I should fess up to my preferences. My anti-shaker pieces are by far the .75 and #1 Camalots and orange alien, as I find these crack widths to be the least pleasant to hang off, especially with no feet holds.

I have a #7 BD stopper which held an enjoyable 8m fall at Arapiles, whose wire is all bent outta shape, which I keep as a momento.

I used to have a #2 BD wire which held multiple falls and became so frayed it ended up hanging from my climbing partner's rearview mirror for a long time.

I will always prefer well placed passive pieces over cams anyday and by the reaction on this thread I too may have to go and purchase one of them pink tricams.

To be honest: ALL OF MY NUTS

and ALL of my medium cams. I plug them a lot more, with small cams I tend to try a nut if I can.

So all medium pieces so far.
