yeah guy, that was his beanie when he inverted. It's pretty sweet (in a way?) that he's wearing a beanie instead of a helmet. eish.

Rhapsody wouldn't load for me, but this one caused severe shrinkage for sure:-) http://video.google.com/...30698&q=rockclimbing Dean Potter soloing, partially freesoloing, the Nose. At one point he sprints past a confused looking dude on Sickle ledge and sounds like he says "Don't touch me" and books past him. He's cooking hot for sure. Un frikan believable for sure.

I've watched E11 several times now, anyone else? The guys dedication is amazing. Even if I had first decided to try it on gear, after falling a few times I would have bolted the bugger to death. I know there were huge debates regarding trad ethics before this movie came out, I'd say credit where it's due. It takes self control not to bolt something like that. I was a little disappointed not to see the gear placements being made (except for one wire) , not that there were many placements to make but It's all part of the challenge as I see it. Apart from that small, fussy gripe, I was impressed with the movie and like it more every time I watch it. The additional material was good too.

I bought the dvd last night. fucking ACE! The part where it is describing his first encounter with the place, when he says something like "When you come out of the allyway, and the wall and boulders are just there, it's so impressive" Anyone who has been there will know just what he means, and just how overhanging that wall actually is. Did anyone else notice he actually landed on the belay ledge in the clip where he is wearing yellow, falls from the top, and both rp's snap? What about the tiny half second long clip where the belayer get whipped up and kisses the wall? Man, this dvd is sweet. I'm gunna go watch it a 11th time ;) -Magnus

That paticular time, there ended up being only about 2m between the belayer and climber at the end of the fall.

I've asked the guys who made E11, they'll get back to me on whether there'll be a region 1 version. I'll let you know as soon as I do.
