That's right folks, once again a semester full of going climbing instead of school working has created the usual cram sessions from hell - but, this is my second last final ever, I'll be a gradiated mofo after Tuesday, living at the NRG for some unknown amount of time, and just generally being a climbing bum for as long as the climbing community can stand me!

So wake up, throw the coffee on, caffeinate yourself through one last day before that weekend climbing trip, wish us finaling folks some luck, send congrats to those who've already graduated, and be liberal with the sugar!

Will
PS This is my first time ever starting the coffee thread - it's not an elite group, with some initiation right I've yet to go through, therefore landing me in the proverbial doghouse of rc.com, is it??? Cause a place lower than scummunity... I shudder to think

I'll take my coffee to go. Off to work but at least it's friday. Under six months now.

right overlord! It's already warm here. Unusually warm. Everything is good to cool down! How is your injury going?

Morning all! Wake up! Today is friday!

OOOooo... I love icecoffee. Is there enough to go around? Smile

Good on ya for finishing, Will. I'm finishing the semester today (been studying since 12)... for the final final... finally! Psychology of human sexualities - its not as interesting as you'd think. Crazy

I remember the satisfaction knowing that my last exam ever was coming up. Very satisfying.

Tea to sip please.

If you think the psychology of human sexuality is not interesting, you should try history and english...

Actually it's not that bad - enjoyable subjects, if you're going to do the whole bookworm thing - some of us were meant to be students, some of us weren't. I weren't. Putting that English degree to good use!

Morning all. Rain rain rain here in DC. I was up late finishing up packaging up a final document for delivery on Monday. Making copies, writing cover letter, finalizing content. Felt great to be done. Then my boss calls this morning and goes "let's change XYZ in the "final" copies." Frown

Climbing gym tonight. yay.

Right now, I am covering the polymorphous perverse Freudian infant as a theory of homosexual orientation... except that it conflicts with his other theory of penis envy (spare me)! Tongue

While we're at it, I want someone to write a textbook in Ebonics to keep me on my toes. How about plain language... yeesh. if i ever counsel someone, it will be in a homey Italian restaurant over lunch. At least, that would be ideal! And yummy Smile

Wahoo!!!...

I'm currently cramming in a semester's worth of Biblical Archeology - for instance, was, or was not, Jerusalem a major dwelling before the time of the United Monarchy? Proof?

Almost done,

G'morning.

Quick (large) cup before the drive to work. Waking up at 4 am every other day really sucks, y'know?

Like so? http://links.jstor.org/...SOPAO%3E2.0.CO%3B2-S

I just completed my "New Testament as Literature" English course last Friday. I loved it!

My problem is that I'm too interested in everything.

I have 36 units in theology, 36 in psych, and 12 in biology... I think I will end up with a double major and a minor at this rate.

Similar stuff - and yep, it's pretty darn interesting - taking it as an elective, to get up enough credits to graduate. Undoubtedly the best course I've taken actually - still, my bookworm days are over, and despite actually liking the subject for a change, the time spent studying instead of the time spent climbing has made it a looong semester.

Must Study!!!

Will, step away from the computer, go back to your books and keep reading. You'll have plenty of time for RC.com once you graduate and have a full time desk job.

I'm trying! But, most of the readings I have to do are online, or involve google searches or that gift from god Wikipedia, so I can't really leave the computer. And every time an email pops up, I can't help thinking, "man, I bet granite_grrl's (or whoever posts) post is more interesting than ancient burial practices" and I go and read, and then post, and lose more time... I'm not worried though, I've got it down well enough to pass, probably even with a B, or if I keep cramming until 11, maybe even an A.

And a big fat NO is what I'm thinking about that desk job - I was lucky enough to have my father work at the university I went to, which meant a free ride - so I'm in debt, but not as bad as most college kids, and not so bad that I can't take the whole summer and maybe fall off, then bust my ass 80 hours a week for a couple of months to get paid off, and then continue the climbing bum lifestyle. As of Tuesday, I'm officially a climbing bum.

well, i have updated the injury thread...

in short, the cast is off, the crutches remain, it healed properly.

there is enough ice coffee to go around, but no one to share with as most of my frieds are up and about enjoying a beautifull sunny day (its a national holliday here, 'the day of fight against the occupator', commemorating the beggining of organized resistance during 2ww).

What you planning to do after the road trip? Or will the road trip last forever. Some people do seem to go on the road forever, but most come back to refinance themselves.

I was more making a joke at my situation. I took 5 months off between school and work, which I had taken more. And now I'm sitting at a desk, working at becoming finacially stable and then hitting the road again for an indefinate amount of time.

I can dream. can't I?!

well, where is the first destination on Wednesday? Are you doing any road trip immediately? I guess I will have to run into you at the New instead of at the climbing wall. Good luck with finishing up.

You pups ;-) I can't remember what it was like to study for finals, it's been so long (1975).

I'm home today, luvvin the 9/80 friday... don't care that it's raining, I'm gonna go to a couple motorcycle dealerships, sit on bikes and daydream.

Made my morning cuppa before my shower, and got it perfect this time...

yay unstructured time...

Nope, I support him while he's going through immiration :(.

Fortunally he's cheap to keep around, though he can eat a lot and periodically want new climbing gear.
