Well holy shit. That was a close game.

In other news, My cousin proposed to his girlfriend at the game tonight and she accepted. So we're kind of stoked in my family tonite.

Congrats to your cousin.!

Close game... Like Madden said, Philly may have laid down a blue print . But your team better be able to single over Moss and overmatch New England's O line. Not a lot of teams can do those. Was fun to watch though.

So, Philly fans... Feely looked to have a lot more poise in the pocket than Donovan, made better reads and overall just seemed more comfortable.... Does McNabb get his job back?

I don't care how good the Pats are...they dodged a bullet in that one!

They dodged two bullets in a row, the Eagles gave them a pretty good run for their money.

Go Steelers!

Three, by my count.

The Ravens quite literally handed the game to the Pats. Poor coaching with that timeout thing, and worse sportsmanship resulting in a kickoff from the opposing 35 yard line.

Weak sauce.

So loyal Pats fans, still think they'll go 16-0?

I personally think the Dolphins have a better chance to go 0-16.

Kinda funny that the year one team could tie the Dolphins 16-0 record may also be the year the Dolphins can't win one.

If they beat Pitt next week then I think they're home free. But if they lay an egg like they did yesterday, Pitt will embarrass them. O-line needs to protect Brady, Watson needs to catch what comes his way and Maroney needs to stop dancing and run.

I also think that the winless season is a near certainty for Miami. If they can't at least challenge Mangina and the J-E-T-S then they have very little chance against anyone.

OH, and let's be clear the Dolphins never went 16-0, not regular season. They only had to win 14 plus playoffs. If the Pats go 19-0 it will be a more than equal feat. It will be a new benchmark.

13-0

One step closer boys.

And not to pick on Smith personally, but when are these idiot players going to learn to stop making guarantees? I don't just mean against the Pats, against any team. You look cocky at best, ad run a high risk of looking the fool.

But you look especially foolish when you're a Safety and you are, personally, the guy who gets torched on two long TD passes.CoolTongue

well done pats.

I too, hate the guarantee. Mostly because the media makes such a big deal out of something so silly. Maybe that that guy personally got burned twice will shut guys up in the future.

i wouldn't really care about the guarantee, but for all the coverage it gets. A guarantee is always a nonstory in my opinion.

Actually, it would probably be really funny if the pats came out and started guaranteeing a win every week. I'd be down with that. I want Brady's guarantee!

Bills - 38
Dolphins - 17

They "came through" for ya!!

And Mangina loses another heartbreaker. Awww.....

Porto's Giants send the Eagles home sad. Could be a trap game for the Pats Week 16.

And Minnesota beat up On San Fran, thereby guaranteeing the Pats no worse than the 4th pick in the draft.

All in all, a good Sunday

Michael Vick got 23 months.

Was it enough?

Will he play again?

Much as I hate to admit it, yeah I think it is enough. It's more than any of his co-defendants, more than most people get for similar crimes. (According to a prosecutor that the local sports guys had on last week. It's more than Ray Lewis got for obstructing a murder investigation.

And yes, I suspect he will play again. Got knows he'll stay fit in prison, likely come out bigger and stronger. He'll only be 30 and will have skipped two years of football abuse on his body. Plus, look around the league, there are a dozen teams who would snatch a guy who's last season was 3000yrds. passing and 1000 rushing.

Worst case, I see him at least finding a spot as a kick returners and maybe 3rd string QB with a chance to move up if he proves he can still play and stay clean.

That is, of course, if Goddell lets him back.

Next topic:
Do the Pats show the Jets any mercy? (thus showing that they do have a smidge bit of class)

Has anything they have done or said this season give you any reason to believe they will? The weather may limit the shock and awe effect of throwing up a 60 spot on them but they will be trying anyway.
