Slabs are delicate.
I fucking hate slab climbing.
Boooorrrrrinnnnnggggg!
And scareee
And delicate.
And runout more often than not...

What do you mean run out? The last slab route I was on I averaged 6 good pieces every 60m.... mind you that's an average over 3 pitches and the last pitch had a grand total of 3 pieces in a rope length Unimpressed
Was that including the anchor pieces?

Um.

First off, why are you talking to the gum on your shoe?

Second, I thought you just did a driveby cause you have not time for PC++.

Third, that is bad use of time to talk to the gum on your shoe when you don't even have time to PC++.

Anyway, sucks about your FIL. Have fun with your new "parts". And don't kill yourself wheelling this weekend. And why aren't you going climbing?
A message from yous gum there Chossy. I dint rite it, but I think you'll find you fit in there somewhere.

Well, fuck.

Hate, yes. Scary, yes. Boring, no, becase you are usually scared!
I'll clarify, by boring I was talking about the movement.
Delicate smearing and crimping with very little dynamic movement does not interest me very much.
I like to use my muscles...

IC
We are different then; I usually try to do everything static, depending on the move, i.e. I hate to dyno. Momentum is different.

I just have never liked the inherent insecurity that seems to come with slab climbing, but I'm betting if I did more of it, I wouldn't feel that way. I'd just rather get on a crack, I guess.
By dynamic movement I do not necessarily mean dynos, Deadpoints are dynamic in movement as are dropknees, crossovers etc. most sport climbing contains quite a bit of dynamic movement.

Since when are drop knees dynamic movement?

They kinda lock you into place and are anti-dynamic if anything.

When it comes to slab, I am the suck.

Conway has the bestest slab climbing on the east coast.
Does that take into account that all slabs suck?
I don't mind slabs. It's the best place to work on footwork. There's no denying that.

Though splitters in granite are just as sexy too.

Call me masochistic, but I do like slab climbing and OWs.

Hey, me too!!!

C is busy house sitting until Sunday and I have ZERO obligations otherwise. Unless it is raining, I will be up there on Monday. If I can find me a partner I'd like to be up there on Saturday and Sunday as well. Making the boomerang back home and to Conway is an option too on Sunday. Heck, I should get off my arse and see about campground reservations for Sunday night, at the least.

That's what I meant by momentum. Your description is much better than mine.

They would still expect me to come in at least breifly to verify this new station that's going in on my line.

As much as I hate my job I still take responsibility. And having this station work after this weekend is part of that.

I still want to make I get out climbing on Monday though.
