One thing I've come to appreciate is that everything affects you. To the degree that it does and how permanent the effect is the only question. But more to the point perhaps, I don't completely judge anyone from a few words they typed somewhere. Gotta reserve judgement for after meeting them in person. Otherwise, the only judgement I make concerns how much the online interaction is worth. Is this person candid? Are they humorous? Can I learn from them? Are they self-absorbed? That kind of thing. But whether the posts are "girlie" from the women or "macho" from the guys it makes no difference to me. It's but a small piece of the personality puzzle; a very small piece.

Apologizing makes me feel better, especially if I mean it. Sorry if you are feeling irritable lately. I know the feeling only too well. It can be tremendously useful if channeled correctly, though. And don't discount applying small controlled dosages of distilled spirits as a reward for good behavior. Small dosages, mind you.

I was just wondering what was the catalyst of the discussion that was going on in community about strong women and their intimidation of "men". Haven't really read anything yet, but I'll let you know if it affects me. :wink:

This post is on the original question. I poke my head in this room because Its really interesting sometimes. I enjoy and sometimes don't enjoy the differences between men and women climbing partners. I think that this forum is a great place to get climbing specfic realtion ship beta. I dating my climbing partner, its awsome most of the time then its not!!! I love her to death but sometimes we can't seperate the climbing from our problems between each other and it cause a real problem. I usually just read most of the posts and there usually nothing note worthy, but I have heard some inlighting things in this forum which challegened me to think about my own relationship.
I think its a good think to allow men in here and to freely intermingale in conversation. I think this kind of open discussion helps me to identify some of my problems with our climbing relationship and our personal realtionship.

First of all you named this forum.. The Ladies Room. I don’t know any guy that doesn’t want to peek into the ladies room. :wink:
Secondly there are some crazy topics here unlike the front page, which has the famous shoe thread, flame war, troll, etc. over and over and over.
Last and most importantly… I admire all the ladies. I admire how you climb, and I admire how you get along with all the guys… so I like to read your stuff and learn more about you and also hopefully learn some things for myself.
