r6driver - you lead i'll follow.

no gym tonight rob, sorry.

*anyone reading this that was at williamson this past sunday and happened to find a pair of madrock flash (very dirty and smelly and in need of a resole) they're mine. probably around mushroom or stream wall. found out last night after finially taking my gear out of my pack my shoes are missing :( i did my idiot check before i left sunday and didn't see anything left behind and could have sworn they were in my pack. i needed a new pair anyways but i just wasn't expecting to have to get them so soon.*

hopefully i can get a new pair before this weekend or else i'm a spectator.

Jason, I expect you to find some new shoes, otherwise it's gonna be another lazy weekend for you. (I will post the photo of the last one!)

And Rob, I'll burn a CD for you and eyecannon.

Matthias.

On my way out, I ran into a guy at Mushroom who had just found a pair of madrocks (orange?) and was wondering whether they had been accidentally left behind. We told him we thought they must have been, since almost everyone was gone by then. He decided the ethical thing to do would be to take them home & then post on rc.com to find the shoeless climber. Apparently that hasn't happened yet. But he seemed honest, so you will probably have your shoes back before too long. :D

Hey girls...oops I'm sorry I was trying to post to the partners area - not the longest thread attempt.

So...who IS going this weekend - Sat? Sun? Overnight?
And who's bringing the beer...I seem to recall
"22 year old booze bearing female..."
what happened to those days?
and who's up for a motorcycle race to the parking lot?

Now we're getting to the really important things!

I'll be definitely there! Two days! (If I get enough beer. :P )
And I'll bring a friend. He'll get into climbing.

I hope I'll see you all.

Matthias.

williamson climbing update...

to the best of my knowledge the following people have expressed to me that they want to climb at least one day this weekend with us...

me, myself, and i
mountainchick
r6driver
climbingmat
monkeyrob
mintcondish
got2climb
eyeconnon
and there are a few other that i can't think of right now

i'll PM a few more people who have climbed with us before and see if we can snag some more, so tell your friends, all are welcome as long as they come to have some fun.

oh and no worries i will not be anyone belay slave this weekend. got me some new shoes, i just got to break them in  i'll bring what ever beer i've got which isn't much but i'll add it to what ever you guys bring.

stay tuned for further updates...

cheers,
jason

I'm busy Saturday but will try to be there Sunday and maybe meet you all for camping Sat evening.

Last time I camped at Buckhorn which is about 4 miles southwest of Williamson. I believe it is the closest campsite. When I last checked three weeks ago there was no sign but a "Closed for Season" sign at the turn in. Hope that sign is still up because the grounds were not completely full last time I went, I think because of the sign. It's a really nice campground with firepits (fire is essential for camping in my opinion), but only two cars per site so I suggest you try and carpool as much as possible. Last time I was there there were sites next to each other available. There's also a large group campfire area. You might look for that and see if there are any site available near there.

If we decide to go there, look for the "Closed for Season" sign on the south side of the road and the turn on on the north side.

Can people post what kind of cars (make, model, and color) they are driving so I can look for them? Cheers, Terry
