well, if you have a sherpa or a mule , i am sure by looking at the design (3 poles crossing), this tent is way better than the average ones you can buy from Sears.
but mostly, yes, this tent is for car camping. :D

Not really a gear deal, but I figured it was worthy of mention:
Delta airlines is having a pretty big sale right now, and you can score some cheap airfare (i.e. Phoenix to Denver for $188, plus tax,) so if you still need to buy a plane ticket so you can make the Ouray Ice Festival, now's the time.
