How many people plan to be down on Thursday? I'm partnerless and was planning on coming down Thursday late morning around 11. Anyone gonna be there? Seems if theres little turn out Thursday, I might push back coming down till Friday.

Dear OP, How 'bout adding dates to the original post? For those who have indicated when they'll be there, put that next to their names. Diana and I are in for Sat/Sun, arriving early Saturday morning, leaving at dark or later Sunday. Rob

In reply to: Dear OP, How 'bout adding dates to the original post? For those who have indicated when they'll be there, put that next to their names. I dont think the OP will be attending anymore, so i don't think he will be updating the list. . . . My partner Tom and I will be arriving at Seneca sometime tomorrow morning after driving all night, and staying till Sunday morning. This will be my first time at Seneca, and i don't know anybody on this site, so i'm pretty psyched for the trip!!! I have a coleman 2-burner stove that can certainly be used for helping with a feast if folks are so inclined. Right now i'm doing my sun dance, and let me tell you - it's a doosy!! I hope to see you folks soon!

Hey guys - the hospital I work at called me in and I won't be able to go on vacation. (Seems more important people took my vacation days and put me back on the schedule). I hope you all have a great time, it was awesome last year.

WEll I came and had a great day climbing on Monday the 22nd, did not see anyone except a couple of climbers from northern New York on a super road trip. One of the climbers was named Joe, did not catch the name of his partner. Both are retired and are doing this big southern exposure road trip over the winter months (now wouldn't that be nice!). I don't know about seneca, WV but central Pennsylvania was wet until thursday morning. Sorry I did not swing by yesterday (saturday the 26th) but I made a quick dash for home (Georgia) straight through in 12 hours. Hey I plan to be back again in the spring on my way up to PA, this time I will definitly spend more time climbing on that great Seneca Rock, love to see some of you folks there.

I met ropeburn fri. morn. and we had a nice time climbing. I hurt my knee and didn't climb sat. but Karl, ropeburn, Kimmyt, and Costellobr did. We had a fine chili dinner that nite and a bit of wine. It rained last nite and this morning. I left early this morning. Had a great time.

let it rain Black Friday met Jeramy {orangekayk}at chickies, Just a supper guy. look forward to climbing with him again. When it's not so freak'n cold. Our day started out 28 degrees and rise'n. O I'd say we hit 44 as a high without the 25 mile an hr. winds...Cold. You know for as cold as it was we got a lot more climbing in then I of thought. Every bit of 500'...dang Saturday rolled in to Seneca, to a beautiful day with Bill there to greet me. {Good seeing u again my friend!}My plan was to meet the guys on the rock but I was just to tird. That was a decision I was to regret. I was off to get the poop on the valley. Where I was to find Stu and his daught running around the graveyards and Jim returning from the inlaws in Virginia. yes yes yes it was good to c them as well ! Stu was looking good ! I was happy for that and Jim he's always a trip. Good people no dought. When I was to return to camp...empty handed and full hearted to find they are still on the rock. Hardcore I'd say. Bill had the home fire's burning...da man ! Ah yes... here are the climber's Brenda Bruce Karol and KimmyT a group to remember. Fine upstanding young people's who just happen to like there wine. Oh... and a little hair of the dog which cault Brenda off gaurd. She was funny... taking a shower without any soap. Yes... it's raining now . Wouldn't u just know it . Here I am all dress up and now place to go. Throw wind and rain and a little snow to boot. I found the snow atop Spruce knob, which was rather nice. Brenda and I took a little ride Sunday up to the lake and over to the highest point in West buy God Virginia. Magical area I tell u. Just magicial with the wind blow'n trees and bogs an bushes. Truly a site to see. Fore this I thank u my Friends It was real always me

Karl without an extraneous O, turned up friday, walked around, set up camp. Bill and Bruce (charley and ropeburn) turned up as it got dark, and there were 4. Brenda turned up later and we were 5. Kimmy arrived during the night and we were 6. Went and climbed on the east side on the saturday morning. Kimmy and Brenda did Worrel's Thicket to Conns East. Bruce and I did Skyline traverse to Kaufmann-Cardon. We were going to do Dirty Old Man, but then the wind came and made things miserably cold again. We all toproped Conns East Direct Start. Ran away and hid from the cold by getting lots of firewood. Thank you Bill for the magic stealth saw. Dennis had arrived, and we were 7. We burnt wood. We ate Brenda's magic chilli. We drank some beer, then wine. Wine from everywhere, never a bottle from the same place, let alone the samae winery. We even had Bill's Magic Pennsylvanian wine. There was even some shots of Icelandic schnapps at one point. The rain came. Dennis provided the magic fly of shelter. We managed not to burn it over the fire. Eventually we even found enough tent pegs to let kimmy come in from her job of holding up one end of the fly. We argued pointlessly about pointless things. We gossipped. Then I woke up, and everyone was gone! I came into a white nalgene bottle though, so I win! It was fun, but I suggest a warmer clime for the next t-day party. Cheers, Karl P PS: Brenda, my mum would love to get your chili recipe please!

I bet that Nalgene is mine. Take good care of it, it's been good to me. Consider it a souvenir. (it's never been peed in so you're good to drink outta it) Whew, I was really worried for you a bit when Brenda said you hadn't stirred before she left. Sorry I couldn't say goodbye, hope you and your mum have a good trip around the US before heading back to AUS! K.

Another great Seneca Thanksgiving. I'm glad I got to meet all those I hadn't met and see those of you I have. I arrived to a cold Friday morning and roped up with Bill. Bill on the first pitch of K-C. http://img.photobucket.com/...cmind/climb/bill.jpg We went back to the campsite and met Karl and his mom. Brenda showed up later and the drinking commenced. Kimmy would show up after everyone had gone to bed. Saturday was considerably warmer, after breakfest we hit the rock. Brenda cranking on Conn's East. http://img.photobucket.com/...nd/climb/Bcstart.jpg Brenda acting every part the hardwomen on the same. http://img.photobucket.com/.../climb/Bcstyling.jpg Kimmy following suit. http://img.photobucket.com/...mind/climb/kimmy.jpg Saturday night was a measure in excess. Much drinking was done of every consevable alcohol, although I will not classify that Icelandic garbage as alcohol, nevertheless much fun was had and many points of view were disccused. Strange drinking games were played and everyone involved seemed to have fun. Again it was great seeing and meeting everyone and I look forward to next year, although a warmer climate might be a nice idea. Ba-Cooock!
