You are thinking of boat rock, in atlanta. The Southeastern Climber's Coalition OWNS a lot of the boulders. The area is smaller than it used to be, but it is still worth a visit and will wear you out. Rock town is in the Crockford Pigeon Mntn WMA, no housing developments up there last time I looked! Your biggest problem with rocktown will be getting up the road. Rock Town is a fine sandstone bouldering area, well worth a visit.

A message from Tim Gilbreath, Ranger at Pigeon Mtn. (Rocktown & Lost Wall). In April and /or May we have plans for a major road repair to Rocky Lane (East). Would you announce to all in your network that if they are planning a trip to Pigeon Mtn during this period please call ahead (706-295-6041) to get the details on the road closure. Because of the major reconstruction, the road will be gated at various intervals or may remain gated for the entire length of the project. Thanks for your help. Tim Gilbreath Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA

Just keep it in a cup - don't have any cans/bottles in plain view and you should be OK. Keep your cooler out of sight also. Rocktown is one kick-ass area! Enjoy! PS Cool head shop on the approach road.
