I tried to search the site for a " " season for bouldering up there but every thread seemed to say that the weather is so unpredictable...My question is this: I am planning on going to the RocTrip and am curious if it would be more advantageous to get there early-mid June or stay later into July. any thoughts would help. Thanks!

Squamish bouldering enjoys good temps through most of the summer, but it is still a bit hot/humid in July/August. I'd come early for the better conditions and less crowding.

summer you have a good chance of little to no rain. that being said its one of the wetest places on earth. if your there for like a week expect maybe 1 day of rain. but rest days are good.. have fun, bring lots of pads, as the landings are kinda scary.

kixrox, you've got to be one of the most mature posters I've seen on this site. Congratulations. As for squamish, check out weather.com and look at the averages for when you're going. I'm headed there as well, but after the roc trip.

Welcome to Squampton. More rednecks per capita than Calgary. You'll need to toughen up more than your fingers me thinks. Paul

I'd recommend later in July than June. Usually July, August and September are the driest months on the BC coast. June can really suck. Having said that, last August was really wet. It's a bit of a dog's breakfast if you know what I mean....just head up there - you'll get plenty of climbing in. And ya, be prepared to do some drinking and fighting in a town where mullet-wearing loggers still rule : )
