Hey guys,

can anyone tell me the name of the sport route just right of the climb Burgers and Fries? I think there were 4 bolts, it is a slab route, a few small shallow cracks in spots for fingers. Anyone know the grade?

Thanks,

Kellie

Just right of the climb or right of the wall burgers and fries?

The first bolted climb immediately to the right is a few routes over. You need to be more specific.

Hi Kman,

I am refering the the first bolted route to the right of the climb Burgers and Fries, I think it has 4 bolts. I believe there is on or more trad routes between B&F and the climb I am asking about.

Thanks,

Kellie

Route goes at 11b, FFA by Kris Wild about 2001 or so, not sure of the name, something about squeezing another route in on that wall I think. Nice route, eh? Better friction than anywhere else on the wall.

Might be in the yellow insert to the McLane book, but most likely not.

I think the one you are refering to is Genetically Superior Neighbour. I have climbed it on toprope and it is very thin. Definately not a normal sport lead. Marc's guidebook shows it as being mixed protection (bolts and gear). The first full on bolts only route to the right of B&F's is Over Fourty, 11a with 3 bolts in 25m. Hope you like runouts!!

Thanks vanclimber, I think it might be Over 40, makes sense. I climbed it on toprope, trying to get over my fear of slab I guess, it looked WAAAAY runout as a lead for sure!

Where did you find out the name of the route? I havn't seen it in any of the guidebooks.

Cheers.
