-You leave your LED headlamp behind to save weight
-You think squeeze-chimneys are secure because you can't fall out of it
-You grab the trees on the route as though they are holds

You know you're a trad climber when you don't have to climb at all. You just sit on your inflated ego and float to the top ; )

You own a helmet but you leave on the ground 'cause you hate it so much.

You hate all other climbers that had cancelled climbing with you to do something else ( some other not important in live bull shiet )

All you talk about with other people is climbing.

You live paycheck to paycheck ( due to climbing )

You can't wait to go to your local gear store on your payday

When there is no one to climb with you drink beer alone, smoke some Marlboros and you climb on your house bricks to keep you in shape.

Screw taping, you have scars covering your hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, knees and ankles from cracks. And callouses on your hips from hanging in your harness all day on long routes.

and the dozens of little scars have blended into each other and faded to the point where they protect better than tape, but are still barely visible :)

When you are feeding slacking while belaying someone on top rope. When you top rope only to get beta for your lead. When you max your credit card on cams. When you are answering this thread!

You have a Ford Ranger "sport" edition

And you cross out "sport" with tape and write on your truck "Trad"

(I saw the truck in Camp IV)

When you can wear socks inside your climbing shoes, but don't have to because they already cover your ankles.

When it only counts as a run out if it's over 50 feet.

When you know what a clove hitch is.

When 'equalize' and 'backup' are in your vocabulary.

When you consider that rusty piton you just clipped 'bomber.'

When you look silly falling since your not used to it.

When you don't care how much your harness weighs.

When you don't care how much you weigh.

When you don't care how much your significant other weighs.

When you're proud to climb 5.11

Hi Adrenaline Junkie (and all others)

Your "You know you’re a trad climber when... "-article was 100% right on! :D Hope you didn't mind, but I copied it and posted it in another forum http://rock-ice.com/phpBB2/

The world must just read this. It's sooo true.

When spell check can't figure out what you are trying to type.

For the tradsters: Wen spl chk cnt figur out what u r tryn 2 type.

So much like the boulderers I've met ...

Seriously ...

When you friends tell you to look at them jugs as a women passes by and all you can picture are nice big holds on the last climb you did.

When your drugie neighbor asks you if you want to do some crack and you start taping your hands.

When a nice hand jam feels more bomber then your last piece.

When you use your sport draws to hang shit on arounnd the campsite.
