I tried to find my old score to compare it to my new one, but no luck. Maybe it'll be in one of the "Similar Threads" below. My new score is: Economic Left/Right: -1.75 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.82 I'm willing to bet that my new score is farther right, at least on Economics than my old score. I'm a little left on economics and way libertarian. It was definitely the last page of the test that made me so libertarian.

I'm -5.8 and -6.8, solidly left-libertarian. I think the lower-left and upper-right quadrants are places of "tension," if you will. Lower-left is collectivist but libertarian, and upper right is authoritarian but individualist, as if those things went together seamlessly.

It didn't really work for me. I couldn't answer the majority of the questions, as posed, accurately. Economic Left/Right: -6.50 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.46

Economic Left/Right: -3.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.05 Pretty daggum close to center, especially on the social aspect of the scale....bet that'll surprise a few here. Edited to say I found my old score from 5/03: Economic Left/Right: -1.88 Authoritarian/Libertarian: 1.23 Well, looks like I've gone a twinge to the left economically and more liberal socially...still pretty close to center though.

I can't believe how close to the middle I ended up being. Economic Left/Right: -1.38 Social Libertarian/Authritarian: -1.79 Some of those questions were odd though. I think they need to rethink the way they are posed.

i've always described myself as a left-leaning libertarian (NOT, as my dad would claim, an exclusively anti-government, bleeding heart liberal). as such, i'm happy to report: Economic Left/Right: -5.00 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.74

Damn, what do you have to do to land in the upper right quad of that survey, join the Nazi party? Just kidding. Interesting that even some folks who are decidedly on the right side of American politics still only fall into the middle on a worldwide scale. I'd say that's an important point for all us Communites to remember: even politics are relative.

Still trying to figure it all out.... I find it difficult to accept that a set of questions can quantify your beliefs and attitudes.... but I suppose, the more questions asked the more you can refine it.... It's important to note what questions are asked and what are left out.... and should people be forced into a decision? I noticed there was no "undecided" option. I did it anyway and scored: Economic Left/Right: -4.38 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.69

I did it the first time picking the option that fit me best. I did it the second time picking the option that fit me the least. The thing is, for many conservative statements where I picked agree as my first choice, my last choice was actually strongly agree. I guess it's because I agree to certain thing to a point, but to I would never agree in any extreme sense. My nether-self (the anti-kris) scored: Economic Left/Right: 7.63 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 7.03 Also, does this strike anyone else as a bad statement for this: It's fine for society to be open about sex, but these days it's going too far. What if you strongly disagree that it's fine for society to be open about sex?

In reply to: Also, does this strike anyone else as a bad statement for this: It's fine for society to be open about sex, but these days it's going too far. What if you strongly disagree that it's fine for society to be open about sex? Ditto that... There were a number of other questions I didn't like. As I posted in another thread, it needs a "This question is BS and I don't want to answer it" option. Out of curiousity, there was a question that said: "There is now a worrying fusion of information and entertainment". Where exactly would agreement with that statement place someone?

Just as a test, I clicked strongly agree for every question. It came back dead center (0.0) on the economic scale, but +4.36 on the social scale. I thought that was a little bit odd with regards to the balance of questions.
