So there I was, browsing the 'why do you boulder' thread, planning to make a snide masturbation related comment, when I saw this little tidbit: goopermc said:In reply to: My climbing partner (maculated) is a sport climber where I am a boulderer. Recently she asked my why I like bouldering more then climbing tied in. So there you have it. After masquerading as a trad/aid climber as long as I have known her, the dirty truth comes out! maculated, the Sport Wanker? maculated, the Sportard? maculated, the Spurt climber? So, my question is this: Why the lies? Why the deception? Come back, maculated. Come back to the sport climbing that is your heritage. Cast off those silly terms like 'pinkpoint;' cease to rap from the chains. Embrace the grigri. We have missed you, come home.

I don't think so yak, last time I climbed with her, it only took a minimal amount of goading to get her to lead a sport climb... ...with preplaced draws! Mwah-ha-ha! :P

i was out walking my dog on the campus green a couple of years ago when i met a girl walking her pet rabbit on a leash. she swore that he snuggled with her family's dog when she took him home over vacation, and tried to convince me i should get one. a bunny would last about 2 minutes in my apartment before having a heart attack from being chased incessantly...so the real question is, what does the fury have to say about this? (on the other hand, if you were referring to the rabbit vibrator, kudos, and enjoy. )

Man, I would love the rabbit vibrator. :) Actually - I posted the story on ST, but I'll tell it here - My friend Carrie and I were hiking up Bishop Peak to do some (ick) bouldering and I look up in this patch of poison oak and there is this white rabbit there. Clearly not a wild one. Total coyote food. I decide to save it. After crashing around in the PO (which I magically have not gotten) and catching it, we put it in a backpack and keep bouldering. So I take it home and set up a crate for it to sit in. Turns out the thing is not only the tamest, most mellow thing I have ever known, it is HOUSETRAINED, likes kids, has NO problem with dogs coming up to it (doesn't run, either) and my dog thinks it is a puppy (and therefore subjected to incessant ear, nose, and crotch licking). Thing is, I don't want to be the crazy pet lady so I need to find it a home.

In reply to: my dog thinks it is a puppy (and therefore subjected to incessant ear, nose, and crotch licking). quite possibly the cutest thing i've ever heard. to all the doubters out there, incontrovertible evidence that the fury does, indeed, have a softer side. and keep the bunny! your growing love for it will effectively prevent you from acquiring cats, thereby eliminating a slide into crazy-animal-lady territory.

Two animals does not a 'crazy pet lady' make. Keep the bunny. Just say no to a housefull of cats. K.
