Donna (my old truck) isn't getting a heart transplant (new engine) my new truck is getting a skin lift off of donna... SO i'm buying a 85 toyota 4 runner that was written off due to an actident....the body is totalled but everything else is fine...it has the 22RE engine and cus its 85, SOLID FRONT AXLE!...yayayayayaya talked to my boss, he's got no problem with me using the shop yard/mechanics bays/the shop its self/over-head cranes/cranes/fork lift to do my business this weekend... as well, this way, it costs 1/2 then to put a new engine is and about 2/3s the work...as well i get a cheaper to run engine thats more reliable and a SOLID FRONT axle....as well a shit load of spare parts, and a frame and transmission i can sell (can make aprox 1000 off of that)....BUT Were to put the left overs?????IN THE SCRAP METAL BINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH YEAH!!!!!! fuckin' eh, Karma has finally come back to pay me a visit aprox 2 weeks till i'm back in the mountains climbing!!!!!!!!with my new truck: JILL....

Sweet dude. What's the year on Donna? I just bought an '84 Toyota 4x4. With the engine only 100,000 miles old, and the transmission only 15,000, I'm stoked.

Phil, Just thought I'd tell you I said hello to Trent Reznors dad the other day. I was directing traffic and he drove by so it was just a Hi Bill, Hi mike, How ya doin. He is really human. His dad was in my class in high school and we carpooled to work for a year or two.

TC, I know I've busted on you for some (at the time, misplaced) exuberance before, but in this context, with your named vehicles, I take it back. I can sense your excitment, and it makes me psyched for you. HOO DAWG. I'm also kind of jealous, never having learned to get deeper than my own car's most basic maintenance. Maybe you know a motorhead friend of mine (also with a 4-Runner, on big wheels) from Vancouver, his name is Axel (no joke). You wanna pimp my Previa if/when I get up there?

I can dig it. My own 96 toyota truck has 222,225 miles on it and never a problem. Maybe its because I change the oil at least every 25,000 miles. Ok sometimes I've stretched it to 30,000. WTF, toyota's are magic.

FUCK YOU OZZY!.....bastard....i so fucking want a hilux but those imports are rare....but through the grape vine i now know someone who will import one for me......man i love hilux's....with the jap imported ones, the condition and Kms are great....2.6 diesel?i think YES!.....but some day, maybe when my apprenticeship is done but the interior isn't much to speak of (pretty much just my dash, one seat and a seat belt....under the hood is still a work in progress, (needs to be clean and some painting)....exterior is the same, alittle fibergrass, paintin', etc...as well i may need a new U-joint......but end of the month i'm getting new hubs and Land crusier brakes for the front (i'll have to go and order some for the rear afterwares)
