In reply to: In reply to: I'll give them a month before I decide. - Daniel Yeah, squeeze out at least one month's salary... ;-) :? Let's face it: They squeeze out a month's work off me... Ah sh*t, working is [insert puking icon here]. At least I did some climbing yesterday after work. The new tower in Friedrichshain provides floodlight climbing. A little difficult to find the holds when they're hiding in your own shaddow but still a nice thing. And the beergarden provides the right atmosphere for a good cocktail afterwards :D And as it's on my way home... WOOOOT! Hopefully the weather will be fine for some more days so we can get to Loebejuen again on Saturday. Now we discovered some more nice routes to do, it'll be fun - even more since my brother will join me. Sooo, back to the statistics  - Daniel

Morn' folks! Gotta get some distraction, so post your weekend plans! As said we're heading for the crag tomorrow (at 8am, brrrrr) and I'm curious how my brother will do on real rock. It's his first time this year to climb outside of the Berlin tower'n'gym safety... I'm sure he'll do pretty well though since he's outclimbing me by far. Ahhh, wish I was twentyfour again and a nonesmoker... - Daniel

Dude... remind me of never moving back to Berlin should I ever think about doing so ;-) Tomorrow we're most probably going to a place called Sottosassa in Val di Fiemme. It's sport, but I want to check out if it's good for trad (should I EVER receive my gear... bellaitalia keeps "forgetting" to bring it, hahaha). In the picture it looks good: http://www.album.spinphys.org/...50722_Trento_061.jpg Sunday they predict rain, so that's going to be a workday ;-) What are the other people's plans?

Heiko  You stole my picture! You know I have copyright on them and I will charge you for every click some secret amount of money! It is a very nice place indeed and also very nice surrondings, try the climb on the other side of the river. This week we plan for some climbs at some crags in Valsusa and I will put some pictures later, but now I miss the dolomites. Btw, when could I be invited to Trento again? /C

In reply to: First time this year? Seriously? Dude... remind me of never moving back to Berlin should I ever think about doing so ;-) His fault... I've been to all kinds of places this year. Opportunity was on for him but he had work on weekends

It's sport, but I want to check out if it's good for trad (should I EVER receive my gear... bellaitalia keeps "forgetting" to bring it, hahaha). Gear... hell I'm so broke due to the 'investments' I've made in the last year. But the heck, it's fun to play around with all those beautiful toys 8^) But gear companies aren't the fastest in delivery. Took Wild Country about six weeks to get me the last two pieces of the Rockcentrics Set. Will probably try to lead a nice VIIIA (7-) with a crack that eats gear like hell. Good for me, as I'd never try it without additional pro. Still I'm a little scared of it. Bolts aren't exactly rare but I refuse to take a whipper on (slightly) positive terrain as I had this bad experience in March. A week on crooks too think about the dangers of climbing... :? The route is beyond everything I've led before. Though I did it on toprope once and almost flashed it... creepy. Damn, where did I put my nuts again? - Daniel

Saturday: went to the beach. My dog had an allergic reaction to sand. :? It rained all of Saturday night. Sunday: spent 5 solid hours at the gym. Yeah, it was pretty exciting. Try not to be too jealous... ( )

Morn' folks! Nice Saturday at the crag. Didn't manage to lead the VIIIa I wanted to, but did it in Toprope (was hard enough... hangover killed climbing). At least I clean climbed a route I allways wanted to do that way :D Nothing special, but still fun: http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=53719 (This is an old pic we took in march, stefanohatari leading me belaying. Freaking cold then, I got sunburned this time...) In reality the route looks much higher. It's about 18m I think. Have a nice one! - Daniel

you should have come to freyer - apparently it rained everywhere else in belgium but both days were rather good climbing conditions there. I showed maxzambo around some of the classic 6as of the place while listening all the while to the talk of 'old good climbing in the dolomites'. Somehow i don't get it, with all those mountains, polenta, sun etc. italian climbers are invading the flat country ...

chrtur, btw, how is finale in autumn? how long into the season do you comfortably climb there? I was thinking about going for a week to either callanques or finale in november-december, not totally sure about the weather though...Finale is mainly sport, right?

Finale is all around the year place execpt for the summer when it is to hot  I have not been to much in Finale to give a fair explanation about the weather during this time but my a friend in my office is from that area and he climbed there last year the third of january without problem (note that he is an italian person). Spring and autumn is the best time for climbing and mainly sport. Another friend will go a climbing course this autumn and I know that they will go for a weekend in the middle of november for finale. So weather should not be a problem compared to what...... /C
