Hi Just discovered this Flickr thing and thought I'd stick up a load of shots lying dormant in my computer. I hope you find them inspiring (this is a US website so I am OK using that word aren't I?). http://www.flickr.com/photos/andykirkpatrick/ Cheers Andy Kirkpatrick - UK

Andy, Fantastic pics. Its 90 outside but Im cold just looking at them. quick question- my cousin (lives near Keswick) claims he has been dry tooling on Dover chalk. I havesnt seen pics yet so of course I have to call BS (him being family and all). Are people actually doing this? Really, incredible pics.

Bizarrely enough yes they are! If you haven't read it yet try and get a copy of Vertical pleasure by Mick Fowler, as he's the guy who really got it going. It's a very British past time though, being loose and corrector building! Thanks for the feedback on the pics. Cheers Andy

Hey Andy, Those are some excellent pictures! Also, your website (http://www.psychovertical.com/) is amazing! I found it about two months ago and I've spent hours there reading your articles. I just wanted to let you know that. Thanks a lot man. Keep it up! Josh

Thanks for the positive feedback. psychovertical.com has been a bit static since it went up - due to the fact that I did it with a guy who's too busy to really do anything more to it (as you can see there are is no revenue coming from it). But in the last couple of months I've learned HTML etc and so I'm planning on relaunching it again but with me at the weel, meaning regular updates (I've got about 10, 000 words on big walling that's been waiting to go online), plus Climb magazine in the UK has agreed that I can post my monthly col um on the site as well (like planet fear used to do). I'll keep you posted. Cheers Andy

Damn.. those are some of the finest pictures I have seen in a while! I have a knack for attracting bad weather and could totally relate to some of these photo's. Most people (including me) would rather not bother to fumble around with a camera during the kind of conditions that you have managed to capture so well. But.. Now you have me hooked! I want to read about these climbs, and especially want to know the story behind; Dru rescue http://www.flickr.com/...irkpatrick/36908628/ One more thing,.. what does "This photo is public" mean? I can't imagine you not retaining copyright to such an awesome collection, hoping it just means that they are displayed publicly? Thanks for sharing these with us!

MY god. That's an awesome collection of shots. Makes me want to plan another trip to Patagonia, mostly. Sweet mother of christ that must have been cold on Cerro Torre, in winter. You a bad man, Andy.

Great shots, the bivy one looks slightly scary to me though (beginner with slight fear of heights still)! Whats the story behind the Dru rescue? Nice site too, wouldnt bother yourself with learning too much HTML just get yourself a copy of dreamweaver, give you more time concentrating on your articles etc. also there is a program called contribute which is even easier if you have an existing site. PM me if you need any info and i'll see what i can do.
