http://www.mandarax.net/photo/chasm_M.jpg An entire geological story is told in one frame. Moving from foreground to background you can see a glacial lake, a terminal moraine, the Front Range Foothills, and then the prairie. If you turned around 180 degrees you'd be staring up at 1,000 feet of granite that tops out at 14,000 feet. Its the kinda thing that gives me a knotted stomach and a hardon at the same time. Just had to brag about how awesome my new home is! (So, who's gonna be the first to correctly guess my location?)

In reply to: (So, who's gonna be the first to correctly guess my location?) That's Mt. Lady Washington on the left, the crags across the way, and mills lake front and center.....why you're standing in the Longs peak cirque. josh

Umm... Well, I thought it was Chasm Lake, but yeah, other than that I think Flamer is right. I am standing below the Diamond on Long's but I'm really not totally sure on all that other stuff to tell you the truth.

HEY! I think I can see my house in that picture! (seriously, I live in Loveland). Chasm lake dude. In my opinion, the most grand and powerful place in all of Colorado. On clear days, I have been known to go outside, raise my arms to that glorious mountain, and yell in joy of being in the shadow of such a magic place.

Want some great climbing and mountains? Move from Colorado to College Station, TX. I think there is a hill about 12 feet high here. Wait, what am I doing in Texas? Somebody come slap me upside the head please. And whatever you do, don't ever come here, you'd be better off breaking your own legs.
