I know, we were biking. . .but that's not what the forum is about right? Just the best summit shot. . .Well here is mine, on top of Moab Rim. We were supposed to do yoga poses. The far right person, apparently confused, never got into the pose. I like it better this way anyway though. http://www.rockclimbing.com/...p.cgi?Detailed=67326

In reply to: I know, we were biking. . .but that's not what the forum is about right? That's a very worthy photo :) It appears as though you are "at one" (all 5 of you) with this summit. Let's see if we can get 50 summit posing shots, then we'll have a vote on the top 3. Maybe a prize or 3

Rockguide, if thats you in that picture, you kind of look like Artie, the stongest man in the world from Nickolodeons Adventures of Pete and Pete. Just a resemblance, but I'm not sure if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

What am I saying, I'm still a kid in my book.

As much as it hurts to look at it, I've got to admit that it is the best summit photo ever! Next time do it in ice cold, alpine winter conditions, then you won't need the helmets  :D

In reply to: Hey! That's Eagle and Symphony lakes right? So is that Cantata you're on? I should be back next year and hope to do a couple peaks in the south fork, probably Calliope and Eagle peaks but I'd have to look at maps to remember for sure. Yup you are correct. I am actually on lpoint 4727 that little bump in front of Cantata. Went up and finished Cantata the next morning. ;) Drop by AMF and give a ring if you need partners for Calliope or Eagle peak ;)

Yes that is UP THERE with the best summit posing shots ever! My eyes, they burn! (I showed to my daughters, they howled in protest and threatened to have me brought up on charge with Child Services) DMT

In reply to: I'm guessing this is on top of Jackson's Thumb at the City of Rocks. I'd recognize that valley anywhere. ah, the hill to the south is more vertical on it's west end, more trees, more rocks. Where is camp rock and treasure rock? Building blocks shoud be obvious. There should be a hill with trees covering your view of the main road to the east, the road to circle creek would be coming around it. Then there is the ranch road that leaves the Circle Creek parking lot. . . and gear? I think the gear says it all.

Well....as far as summits go, it's not "up there"..... but it's all I've got and I wanna play! Here is me, atop Seneca Rock by way of the Old Man's Route. http://img.photobucket.com/...ed2004-10-100001.jpg Here is Nick, who guided me(in front) on the same summit. He used to live at Seneca but moved away, and so every group we came upon, he knew at least one of the people. While we were up there, the two guys behing him also topped out(by a more difficult route) and.....of course Nick was old buddies with one of them. http://img.photobucket.com/...ed2004-10-100004.jpg

well here is one of me and my best friend....we raced up Mt washington as it was pretty cold...and my bud was making fun of my "moon boot" sportiva's the whole trip....he did say I looked Euro cool. Moments after this photo we were frozen and wearing our down parkas http://danielyaris.com/iceclimb/Images/21.jpg and then my favorite summit of shasta...we brought no tent, bivy sacks, or pretty much anything and got hit by a big storm...had to dig a snow cave, froze or butts off....and then summited the next day alone to a sunny day...lol..everyone always asks if that is me with a sherpa... http://danielyaris.com/...mmitofshasta_jpg.jpg and Us on MT hood..moments after this photo the other party behind us lost some gloves and hats as they took them off for a photo and the wind had plans of it's own http://danielyaris.com/...summitofhood_jpg.jpg these are just a few of my best climbs with my best friend....gosh I miss him....he lives far away and is married now...not sure when we will climb again
