Sorry, accidently posted it in the wrong place. Moved this post to West Cost.
I really want to do more outdoors around bay area on weekends and start learning lead/mutlipitch. I can't afford a private instructor, but I can afford gas. I only have top rope gears. I am at 5.8/.9 level.
So if you don't mind hanging out with a newbie, let me know.

I may be interested in meeting you and letting you tag along with my group that I climb with. They usually aren't too receptive to climbing with strangers but screw 'em, I can show you a few things. You can belay, right??? We usually climb at Castle Rock or Summit Rock on the weekends. If you're interested e-mail me at spratico@euphonix.com
You don't need to pay for gas, I can just meet you at the climb and we can go from there. Do you know how to get to Castle Rock State Park on Skylkine blvd.?

Oh, and we like to have acouple of beers w/ we climb...hope that's not a problem. Some think it's unsafe, but we're an extremely safe bunch.
