Bah, you'll be fine..... ...as long as you don't actually put a dynamic load on it and/or are wearing a swami belt  PS, and whatever you do, DO NOT use a bowline! You will die instantly

T.06 Most of the deductions resulting from an agonizing overabundance of webspeak. Final reductions in overall score resulted from an overwelming sense of blatent non-direction and simple, limpness. Try again brother, don't give up hope this early in the game. There is still time. John

Depends...Are you just resting on it? Or planning to fall on it? A quickdraw doesn't stretch like the rope, so you don't want to fall on it. Easing your body weight onto it on the other hand is fine, but why?

I' m really confused as to what this question is asking...but if by chance I do understand it right, then why the hell would this ever happen, or why would you want to...or how far could you really fall? :?: :wtf: fall on a quickdraw :wtf: :?:

Why/when...well, setting I suppose you could end up clipped to a draw. You can take a factor 2 onto it quite easily...

Shanz, that was .06 as in point O six or six tenths....at any rate, it is much less than 1. Real problem is that I bit anyway. Fortunately this seems to be a catch and release fishery! John

Hey, I used to set routes in a gym and would always clip myself to a wall draw while setting, its a great place to rest on. However, why would you wan to be moving while attached to a draw? It seems too limiting. I'd only rest on it or lean on it but never climb upwards on it...that's just silly. Besides, if you are climbing upwards your going to stop real quick due to the draw pulling your belt down. If you are justing taking a rest fine, then unclip before moving forward. Cheers, J

OMG I swear I saw this guy once who cliped a quickdraw directly to his belay loop on his harness instead of a gear loop, and the instant he touched the QD to his belay loop he crumpled to the ground because his back had broken in three places!  It was even crazier than the time I discussed string theory over tea and crumptes with Sasquatch.

You clip your belay loop to a quickdraw. What don't you understand about it? We can help you, you'd just have to be more specific than 'I don't get it'.

this looks like the case of a guy with a question after climbing once in the gym, found this site, registered just so he could post, asked a question, and forgot he was ever here.
