I'll be down there in March with my climbing club and was wondering if anyone could recomend some good splitter cracks in Red Rocks? It would probably have to be around sport climbs and such because not everyone in the group plugs gear, so I'm guessing the best place for this variety would be in the Calico Basin area and nearby crags. Any good crack climb suggestions?

I remember liking Classic Corner in the Calico Basin area. I believe it was a 5.8 about 160' long, really nice. I did it YEARS ago though.

Ha ha!

Somebody is going through there noob (why don't you just go play with yourself at the Creek?) splitter-obsession phase!

As stated earlier, Atman is a must do. It's straight forward, takes good gear, easily top roped, next to a fun chimney and a great warm up for Yin and Yang (a really good .11a splitter that curves as the name implies).

Splitters in Red Rock:

Atman
Yin and Yang
The Fox
Our Father (last pitch)
Triassic Sands (4th pitch is a true splitter, but the whole thing is beautiful)
Gin Ricky
Red Zinger
Classic Corner (pretty splitter for 5.8)
Karate Crack (I think this one is a splitter, although I have not done it)
Straight Shooter
Small Purchase

Those are all the ones I can think of at the moment, although I know there are more around. There are certainly quite a few more stout splitters around, especially in Black Velvet. Everything above (except Yin and Yang) is .10 and under- most are .10's, and quite a few are .10+'s

That should keep you occupied.
