Old Rag Aid Climbing?

I have never been to Old Rag but from where I live it is the closest crag to me. I am wanting to learn to aid climb and was wondering if it is a good place to learn aid and if so what routes are best? I am trying to avoid the drive to Looking Glass though the North face is on my to do list!

There are several continuous cracks up there -- I think it'd be a great spot. Just keep it clean, eh? They're all established free climbs.

There are some vertical cracks that would be good to learn aid on. Strawberry Jams would be an obvious choice.

super sunset is a fun aid route and there are any number that could be a bit more challenging.

Just outta curiosity, I'm a displaced Coloradan living in Charlottesville at the moment, and was looking for people to go aid climbing with. Not so much around Charlottesville, but more down in NC. Anyone interested in "heading" out.

Always looking for new partners. Myself and weatherm are trying to hook up and do some climbing, either at Whitesides or Looking Glass. Send me a pm with some contact info, and we'll see what's in the future.
