Nice! But what's that ice axe for?

Here's a couple from Berthoud pass 9/23/06 and one from the SUPER SECRET spot.

Shannon, well....being a snowboarder.

Hmmmmmmmm, rodeo belt buckle and ski porn. I see the problem here, too many trips to the G-spot. :D The only problem is deciding what flavor of booze. 8^)

See you this weekend, hope that storm rolls through.

I'm sure everyone already has a ski rack or 12, but thought I would let you know the daily dose on steepandcheap: Yakima Big Powderhound Ski Rack for $47

http://www.steepandcheap.com/

Steve: Count me in for ski porn night. Last year was a blast. Even though I don't/didn't ski, watching you fall down repeatedly and do the belly crawl back across 3 parking lots to your place was such good clean entertainment. Can't wait for this years festivities.

Wa-HEEEE-knee, here Wa-HEEEEE-knee, god doog, (slur, slur), I mean, good dog.

Sorta reminds me of my condition last year at Octoberfest.

I'm interested in the idea of getting in some BC turns this season. You guys have room for one more?

Here's the thing (there's always a "thing"). I have perfectly zero BC experience. I can carve just fine (Blacks and such at the resorts), but I don't even know if there is anything particular to the BC scene that one must have beyond what is used at the resorts (avy beacon?).

All this to say: "Curious, outwardly goober, BC novice looking to give it a whirl." What I lack in fancy doodads, I make up for in resolute mettle.

I can't afford to be buying a beacon. In fact, later today, I'm going to be stitching up the gloves I've had since the mid-90's because new ones cost money. Not a miser, just student-poor. So if there's a whole lot that you guys carry that is BC specific, I'm already counted out. Otherwise, anyone care to tolerate a tag-along?

Andy. (snowboard).

Andy, unfortunately there are several items you need. A beacon is just part of it. A shovel, probe, and pack to carry you gear in is also needed. We don't ever plan on needing our gear, but it's better to have it and not need it than the other way around.

If you want to get out, I have some loner gear. The one thing I don't have is collapsable poles for you to use. I do have a pack, snowshoes, shovel and beacon.
