My other fave is A Christmas Story for the same reason, except replace "cry" with "laugh" - you gotta hand it to both for their staying power.

Hands down it's Nightmare Before Christmas. But I'm continuing a family tradition of watching Christmas Vacation on Christmas eve. That movie is 2nd on my list for sure.

Without a doubt it's The Ref with Dennis Leary and Kevin Spacey. It is the anti-Christmas movie. I watch it every year. If you want an antidote to It's a Wonderful Life then check it out. If nothing else, it has classic quotes to last until next Christmas.

I just finished it with my kids and they loved it. Probably because they don't look into it too deeply. It's a fun story about a kid who learns to believe in something again. That's all they see. It's a Wonderful Life, The Santa Clause, and now Polar Express. They all get a nod.

Our family would watch the Peter O'Toole and Katherine Hepburn classic "The Lion in Winter" every Christmas. Such a lovely family they had.
